The two girls have known each other for over 10 years. They were quite close, having been in the same class since high school started. One was bubbly, cheerful, calm and quiet. The other was loud, happy and rather immature compared to her friend. One had long hair while the other sported a short hairdo which she had since the second grade. The both of them weren’t exactly best friends, but, they could talk and laugh in their own little world if they wanted to.
The two of them grew up in different environment. One being the youngest of three siblings while the other was the oldest of two. The duo met in kindergarten at the age of six. Later, they went on to being school mates and then classmates in high school. They sat beside each other as middle school first year students. Though it was only for the first few weeks, they shared lots of laughter and exchanged lots of stories. It was during that period of time when the louder of the two realized that she was a fanatic and that her friend was the only one who would listen to her ramblings on the topic. Others would simply ignore her or change the topic but her friend was different. She would listen and comment and somehow they always end up laughing like hyenas after.
So far, she was the only one that would listen to her. The little girl hasn’t found anyone else that would even up till today. Her friend supported her through high school and now that they’re in college, she still does. The two of them exchange emails every now and then and chat about their current random obsessions and always end up having a blast doing it. For one thing, her friend is very open to new things and it was easy to introduce them to her.
The little girl was told that friends are like pieces of a puzzle. If one disappears, it would not be complete. So, the little girl would like her friend to know that she is one of those pieces she can NEVER afford to lose. Not now, not ever.
‘I must’ve been a really good person in my pass life to have a friend like you’
Thank you for always being there when I needed somebody to talk to and for lending me your ears.
