Lost Child

On the outside, Taylor’s family seemed like what would be known as the normal, average, middle class family. Her family is average in size. She has both parents and 2 younger spoil brat brothers. Life was easy going until she reached a certain age where she began to understand the complexity of the world.

You see, as a child, Taylor has been raised to obey. It means she has been raised based on a foundation of fear. She feared her mother, for her mother is a person that would show no mercy once angered. Even now, she could not say no to anything her mother tells her to do.

Having been raised on fear, now as a teen, Taylor no longer feared her parents as much as she used to. She doesn’t bother much about them now that she’s in college. Finally, she is free. Oh, how long have she craved for the freedom that she now has. She desperately wanted to get out of the house during her high school years. Now that she’s finally old enough, she’s thrilled that she could finally leave. She came to a conclusion that her parents had lost her to the world.

Raising a child using fear is never a good technique. Once the child has come to realise that there’s actually not much that you can do to hurt them, you’ve completely lost them.

A/N> a short one-shot..or to put it in another way...another one of my ramblings..
