Cherish Forever

Today is also another special day in my calendar. Unlike the previous one, this date has been added long before April 18th. This is a story of a very special friendship which had a not so special beginning.

Our beginning was pretty much normal. First day of school, you see me, I see you, we say hello and presto! Instant friends! Simple isn’t it? Oh, how I wish things could as simple as it was then. We sat beside each other during first year, though it was only for a few weeks or so. We shared laughter and many silly jokes together with other friends. I soon realized that you were going to be one of those friends which I will cherish forever in the rest of my life.

I was lucky enough to have you in most of my classes throughout primary school the only time I think I wasn’t in a class with you was in year3. After that, I ended up in the same class with you again. Coincidence much? *laughs*

Entering a new school, I was separated from you after the first year until the fourth. During that period of time, we grew distant. We rarely talked and usually only exchanged greetings before we head back to our respective classes. I have my friends and you have yours. I felt sad that we weren’t as close as we used to be in primary but hey, life is full of changes. If yours have none, then, it’s just not life, man.

Like I said, we grew distant. And yet, I was surprised at how quickly we became like primary school kids again during our fourth year in secondary. We were classmates again like old times, sitting around with others, chatting and laughing the day away. I loved that year. The year I reconnected with many ‘lost’ friends. It continued into the fifth year. I owe you a lot! Just for a few hours of dinner, you were willing to help me pick out an outfit and ‘kau tim’ the other stuff. I am forever in your debt. *chuckles*

Do you know who am I referring to in this super long post?? Haha, Birthday girl are you reading this? I bet you’re not. You’ll probably read this after a few days or so. *feel free to prove me wrong in the comment box, I check every day. Haha*
