A new school and a new surrounding; well, at least not for her. She has been there since she was a little kid. She knew the area like the back of her hand or possibly even better than the back of her hand since she never really paid much attention to that part of her hand. She even knew which one of the toilet stalls can be flushed and which door can be locked. Conclusion, she was very much at home in her new school.
New school usually meant new uniform and new people to get to know. The uniform part was right. However, the new people part was slightly off. How was she to make new friends when all of her new classmates were from her previous school? No complains though. She loved her new class and the people in it. ok, maybe not all of them but close enough to safely say all of them.
After having been in the morning for 4 years, the afternoon weather had again proven too much for our little girl to handle. Oh, how she sweated her way through first day. The back of her uniform was completely drenched in her sweat and she felt rather uncomfortable in the new uniform. For one thing, it was completely different from her previous uniform, and it did not help that she hated wearing skirts and dresses of any kind.
This time around, when she entered the class, other students were already scrambling to get the seats that they wanted. The little girl ended up sitting right up front, on the left hand side of her dear friend. The both of them shared many hilarious experiences together. One of them including their trip to another city for a competition. The two of them actually argued over who sleeps facing the door as both of them clearly did not want to. The thought of someone walking into the room in the middle of the night without warning scared them too much to want to sleep facing the door. In the end, her friend gave in and the little girl couldn’t help but grin in triumphant.
First day of school had always been fun for the little girl. Not only did she get to see her friends after a long period of time, but she also got to see the teachers as well. The teachers in the new school were definitely much stricter and fiercer compared to the ones in her previous school.
‘I think I can manage, it’s only going to be 5 years after all. After that I’m out of here!’
The journey into teenage life had begun.
