Lost Child

On the outside, Taylor’s family seemed like what would be known as the normal, average, middle class family. Her family is average in size. She has both parents and 2 younger spoil brat brothers. Life was easy going until she reached a certain age where she began to understand the complexity of the world.

You see, as a child, Taylor has been raised to obey. It means she has been raised based on a foundation of fear. She feared her mother, for her mother is a person that would show no mercy once angered. Even now, she could not say no to anything her mother tells her to do.

Having been raised on fear, now as a teen, Taylor no longer feared her parents as much as she used to. She doesn’t bother much about them now that she’s in college. Finally, she is free. Oh, how long have she craved for the freedom that she now has. She desperately wanted to get out of the house during her high school years. Now that she’s finally old enough, she’s thrilled that she could finally leave. She came to a conclusion that her parents had lost her to the world.

Raising a child using fear is never a good technique. Once the child has come to realise that there’s actually not much that you can do to hurt them, you’ve completely lost them.

Trip

Amazing how one trip can change your life completely, just that one trip can turn your life upside down. Scary isn’t it? Well, for me it’s nothing new, just another phase in my young life.

I’m only 18, still a little kid. But the lengths I go to defend them are quite big. I don’t even care if they are my friends or not, nobody deserves to be bashed up like what people are doing to then now. It hurts to see hardworking people getting insulted instead of getting praised. Don’t get me wrong, they do get praises, but not from everyone. Sad isn’t it?

Another one of my random ramblings, think about it.

Special

The two girls have known each other for over 10 years. They were quite close, having been in the same class since high school started. One was bubbly, cheerful, calm and quiet. The other was loud, happy and rather immature compared to her friend. One had long hair while the other sported a short hairdo which she had since the second grade. The both of them weren’t exactly best friends, but, they could talk and laugh in their own little world if they wanted to.

The two of them grew up in different environment. One being the youngest of three siblings while the other was the oldest of two. The duo met in kindergarten at the age of six. Later, they went on to being school mates and then classmates in high school. They sat beside each other as middle school first year students. Though it was only for the first few weeks, they shared lots of laughter and exchanged lots of stories. It was during that period of time when the louder of the two realized that she was a fanatic and that her friend was the only one who would listen to her ramblings on the topic. Others would simply ignore her or change the topic but her friend was different. She would listen and comment and somehow they always end up laughing like hyenas after.

So far, she was the only one that would listen to her. The little girl hasn’t found anyone else that would even up till today. Her friend supported her through high school and now that they’re in college, she still does. The two of them exchange emails every now and then and chat about their current random obsessions and always end up having a blast doing it. For one thing, her friend is very open to new things and it was easy to introduce them to her.

The little girl was told that friends are like pieces of a puzzle. If one disappears, it would not be complete. So, the little girl would like her friend to know that she is one of those pieces she can NEVER afford to lose. Not now, not ever.

‘I must’ve been a really good person in my pass life to have a friend like you’

Thank you for always being there when I needed somebody to talk to and for lending me your ears.

A/N>>
This post is dedicated to the little girl’s friend. Curious on who she is? Let’s just say she in a certain Methodist college in a big city. I know you’re reading this, my friend. Please don’t be shy and drop a comment or two in the comment box on the left ya.

I’m ending this story with this post. I know it’s short and not many actually read it except a certain Cassie..haha…I’m sure throughout the course of this story, you can guess who the characters are. If you can’t, then I’m sorry. I have no intentions to tell.
My next posts will be back to my random ramblings on daily happenings, unless i decide to write an ongoing story..see first la..i got one month of holiday afterall...muahahaha

Fanatic

Years in high school passed by like a hallucination. At first you see it, and then, once you blink, it’s gone. Our little girl is not so little anymore, she’s now slowly becoming a young lady. When the writer says slowly, the writer really do mean slowly. Somehow, our little girl matured slightly slower compared to her peers, mentally speaking of course. She’s childish in a way, easily fascinated y new things and easily fooled, gullible, to put it in another way, oh she also quite innocent and not to mention an amazing freak. Once she gets hooked onto something, it usually takes a very long time for her to get over it.

The list of things she went fanatic about it quite long. Her obsession usually drove her friends off the wall, Great Wall of China even. She can talk non-stop about the topic day and night. But the sad reality is, nobody shared her interest. She felt different in a way, always interested in things that everybody else didn’t. It made her feel special in a way and yet, most of the time, she felt lonely. She felt as though nobody could understand her, for she knew no one who was as big as a fanatic as she was. Not even her closest friend could stand her ‘fanatic’-ness.

Over time, she learnt how to control what she said. Crazy, fanatic, obsession were kept to a minimum. She tried to avoid the topic as much as possible and to only talk about the ‘normal’ stuff that teenagers often talk about. She seemed happy on the outside, but, on the inside, it’s a whole different story.

She was happy that there was a friend who would listen to her when she went on and on about her random obsession. She couldn’t thank her enough and always felt that her ramblings were disturbing her friend though she said it’s ok. Inside, she’s just glad to have finally found someone which will listen to her.

Cherish Forever

Today is also another special day in my calendar. Unlike the previous one, this date has been added long before April 18th. This is a story of a very special friendship which had a not so special beginning.

Our beginning was pretty much normal. First day of school, you see me, I see you, we say hello and presto! Instant friends! Simple isn’t it? Oh, how I wish things could as simple as it was then. We sat beside each other during first year, though it was only for a few weeks or so. We shared laughter and many silly jokes together with other friends. I soon realized that you were going to be one of those friends which I will cherish forever in the rest of my life.

I was lucky enough to have you in most of my classes throughout primary school the only time I think I wasn’t in a class with you was in year3. After that, I ended up in the same class with you again. Coincidence much? *laughs*

Entering a new school, I was separated from you after the first year until the fourth. During that period of time, we grew distant. We rarely talked and usually only exchanged greetings before we head back to our respective classes. I have my friends and you have yours. I felt sad that we weren’t as close as we used to be in primary but hey, life is full of changes. If yours have none, then, it’s just not life, man.

Like I said, we grew distant. And yet, I was surprised at how quickly we became like primary school kids again during our fourth year in secondary. We were classmates again like old times, sitting around with others, chatting and laughing the day away. I loved that year. The year I reconnected with many ‘lost’ friends. It continued into the fifth year. I owe you a lot! Just for a few hours of dinner, you were willing to help me pick out an outfit and ‘kau tim’ the other stuff. I am forever in your debt. *chuckles*

Do you know who am I referring to in this super long post?? Haha, Birthday girl are you reading this? I bet you’re not. You’ll probably read this after a few days or so. *feel free to prove me wrong in the comment box, I check every day. Haha*

First Day

A new school and a new surrounding; well, at least not for her. She has been there since she was a little kid. She knew the area like the back of her hand or possibly even better than the back of her hand since she never really paid much attention to that part of her hand. She even knew which one of the toilet stalls can be flushed and which door can be locked. Conclusion, she was very much at home in her new school.

New school usually meant new uniform and new people to get to know. The uniform part was right. However, the new people part was slightly off. How was she to make new friends when all of her new classmates were from her previous school? No complains though. She loved her new class and the people in it. ok, maybe not all of them but close enough to safely say all of them.

After having been in the morning for 4 years, the afternoon weather had again proven too much for our little girl to handle. Oh, how she sweated her way through first day. The back of her uniform was completely drenched in her sweat and she felt rather uncomfortable in the new uniform. For one thing, it was completely different from her previous uniform, and it did not help that she hated wearing skirts and dresses of any kind.

This time around, when she entered the class, other students were already scrambling to get the seats that they wanted. The little girl ended up sitting right up front, on the left hand side of her dear friend. The both of them shared many hilarious experiences together. One of them including their trip to another city for a competition. The two of them actually argued over who sleeps facing the door as both of them clearly did not want to. The thought of someone walking into the room in the middle of the night without warning scared them too much to want to sleep facing the door. In the end, her friend gave in and the little girl couldn’t help but grin in triumphant.

First day of school had always been fun for the little girl. Not only did she get to see her friends after a long period of time, but she also got to see the teachers as well. The teachers in the new school were definitely much stricter and fiercer compared to the ones in her previous school.

‘I think I can manage, it’s only going to be 5 years after all. After that I’m out of here!’

The journey into teenage life had begun.

A/N: so wad do you guys think? i know my english stinks...haha...trying to improve by writing.

Ice Princess

I’ll write about that little girl in the next post. I want to dedicate this post to a very special person because today is her birthday!

April 18th, a new date has been added into my reminders last year along with eight other. Today is the Ice Princess’s birthday! The ice princess with an awesome voice, proof? There’s too many to list. *chuckles*

Happy Birthday, Jessica Jung.

Wishing you good health and happiness together with the rest of the girls and lots of success to top it all of!

Six Years

Moving on to the next year, the little girl went to school but this time it was in the afternoon. The weather in the afternoon was very much different compared to being in school in the morning. For one thing, it was much hotter and duller in her opinion. However, she managed to pull through the afternoon session despite some major obstacles and made it back into the morning session.

This time around, she was reunited with her friends after one year of separation. How she missed them! They haven’t changed a bit. Still as lively and still the jokesters she once knew 2 years ago. She even shared one of her subjects with the class next door, which her kindergarten friends were in. after a horrible year in the afternoon the year before, she was overjoyed that she no longer had to share a class with unfriendly people and finally being able to be with her friends.
This time around, new subjects were being introduced to them. Confusing, yet, the little girl managed to get a B for her first test. 74/100. Not too bad if she could say so herself. Once she figured out the technique of answering, the rest of the year became less of a struggle and she began to enjoy lessons more. She was top her class that year, something which still surprises her until today. Things were going to be completely different the following years. Competition became fiercer as they competed against each other for better grades.

In the misc of the competition, she made new friends. Some forgotten ones from first year and new ones as well. There was one who taped her mouth shut during second year for talking during class, another who asked if she saw a blurry view early in the morning, fearing that her eye sight had gone bad at such an early age. Another who just transferred in from another city. She was really loud and not to mention has a great sense of humour.

Just like that, six years of the little girl’s childhood had gone and would not be coming back any time soon. Perhaps that little girl was not so little anymore at that time, slowly becoming a teenager and a soon to be very rebellious one as well.

A Little Girl's Journey

A girl walked into an empty classroom early in the morning accompanied by her mother. As she picked a seat that she liked, another girl walked in accompanied by her father. They exchanged greetings and ended up sitting beside each other. A few minutes passed and other kids came in and the bell rang. Parents were there to comfort their child while others were paying fees and such. One by one, the number of parents decreased and soon all of them left. The teacher called the students out and began rearranging the seats according to height. The first girl from before ended up sitting beside a boy she knew from the year before right at the back of the class. They were both considered tall in their class. The boy was elected class monitor while the girl was just a normal student. The teacher then called the students out one by one to collect name tags that she had made for them. They were told to wear the tags for around so that their classmates would call them by their names instead of ‘oi’. Pretty clever.

Days turned to weeks as the schooling term began to progress throughout that year. The girl made friends and enjoyed going to school and attended classes. She also met some of her friends from the year before. She was delighted to see familiar faces among so many unfamiliar ones. They somehow made her feel happy even thought they were in different classes. Most of them were in the class next to hers while she was alone in her own. It didn’t bother her as she already made a bunch of new friends who would laugh and joke all day with her.

The year soon came to an end and it was time to say goodbye to the school as the holidays came. The girl was quite sad to leave school for 2 months or so and yet she was happy that she didn’t have to get up early every weekday to go to school.

‘till we meet again, my friends’ she thought.

Storm

Well, the weather here takes a 180degree turn on a daily basis. Afternoon it can be very hot and in the evening it can rain cats and dogs and the weather is certainly not stingy with the lighting and thunder! Lightning and thunderstorms are occurring quite often and on Tuesday, my roof got struck by lightning. How unlucky. But at least look on the bright side, they say lightning never strikes the same place twice. So if based on that saying, my house is pretty much safe from future storms, hopefully.

JPA interview day

Ok, got up freaking early after going to bed freaking late the night before, I was so tired. I cannot function properly without minimum 7 hours of sleep. On Wednesday night I slept at 12.30am. Thursday night I slept at almost 1am. Goodness, it’d be a miracle if I don’t have panda eyes yet.

Anyways, picked up Sze Hsien and we’re off to Ipoh for our JPA interview. The ride there was quiet, I guess; with occasional conversations popping up every now and then in the car. I didn’t drive, it was too early and I wanted to rest, sleep and listening to my mp3, something which I have not been able to do during long car rides for I’m usually the driver.

For the interview, I wore Baju Kurung, as you can see from the picture below. Do I look like my mom? The outfit is hers actually.

This is the fish tank. I found it interesting, either that or waiting for Sze Hsien to collect her file was beginning to bore me out.

Sze finally came down to the lobby after almost 30minutes of waiting for her file.

Weekend

Well, I stayed back in Kampar last week instead of going back to Merbok for Cheng Beng and I can say it was utter boredom! I got so bored that I stated to take random pictures of virtually anything I can lay my eyes on-the houses opposite mine, the sticky notes I have on my wall, my laptop and even attempted to take pictures of lightning on Sunday night. However, my camera is not really suitable for night pictures even though the setting is already set at ‘night’, it’s still quite blur.

After Class, After Rain

Weather here now is slightly better compared to a few weeks ago. It finally started to rain! yay! this was taken after class on my way back home.

I would like to thank condensation for the blurry effect on the first picture. Lecture hall was very cold and somehow reminded me of Genting.

After wiping the lense, the picture became clearer.
