The Rest Is Still Unwritten

Everybody has his or her own set of principles in life, I am not much different. I have my own principles or concepts, as I tend to refer to them more often in that term. Some may say that I’m being fussy, having so many different concepts when I'm only 18, others might think that some of my concepts make sense while the rest don’t even bother about them and simply waltz into my comfort zone unannounced.

Let me share something with you, one of the concepts that I try my best to practice as often as I can remember. Unless I offer something, you don’t ask for it. This can be linked to my post about asking for favours a few weeks back. You see, I do know a few people here that have a very severe case of ‘muka tembok’. Aigoo, aku bagi tahu kamu semua, muka dia orang kan, lagi tebal dari Tembok Besar China tau! Haha

They really don’t care about your feelings and such and right away ask for some of your stuff or a favour in a very direct way and sometimes, it gets on my nerves so bad I just feel like yelling at them. An example would be food. After seeing you open a packet of biscuits to snack on, their hand would be extended right away asking for a piece. Pathetic right?

Another concept would be self satisfaction comes first. For me, I don’t really care how much I have to go through to get something but as long as I think it’s worth it, I really don’t mind the trouble at all. Whatever the price is, as long as I feel that it is reasonable and worth it, I don’t mind paying.

For CDs, movies and food, anything, as long as I feel that it’s worth it. I mean, come on people. You’re only alive once, why be so frugal with your spending? True, a budget is a very good thing but sometimes it’s alright to bend it a little bit, just don’t go overboard.

Curious on what’s going on? That’s just some random stuff that happens around me so far.

Nothing

I wasn’t really expecting our lecturer to be serious when he said our next test was going to be very tough. Boy, was I wrong! That test was freaking hard! I was even more blur compared to my Add Maths mid-year back in form 4. Probabilities wasn’t even my strong point in maths in the first place and I’m not implying that my maths is good. I just feel that I do better in Algebra and Calculus than in Statistics.

Ok, before anybody goes pointing fingers let me clarify that I did study but I think our lecturer is out to get us. Since our first test was fairly easy, he wanted to make this one hard, which in my point of view; I see no need for that. He’s only making our lives miserable this way.

Well, I guess it’s not good for me to rant here so I shall stop. Let’s just do better next time, shall we?

I'm Seeing Stars

Stars, I'm going crazy

I think I really am going to crazy soon. This past weekend had been physically and mentally draining. Running around the dorm area carrying props and a camera is so not fun and to do it for hours is just plain crazy.

After shoving aside that particular assignment for weeks, we finally decided to start filming it on Saturday morning. Woke up early and feeling a bit cranky, all of us started out to a mini mart to film our first seen. After that, we went back to my place to film the next before proceeding to another teammate’s house to film the remaining scenes needed for the video. I wonder if those artists have had to shift location that many times to film their MVs.

We finally ended filming for day 1 in the evening due to some unforeseen circumstances that our extras couldn’t make and we actually wanted to drag it into the night but our extras weren’t free so, the next morning will be our continuation.

Then, this morning I was already late to reach the meeting place but to my surprised, I was the first to arrive. After napping for around 15minutes, the rest of the team came and we continued our shoot. Things went well since we already grasp the concept the day before. When our extras came, we had tones of fun! They were lively and really did liven up the set as all of us were tired and cranky due to lack of rest and a maths test on Monday. The rest of the shoot went smoothly with loads of laughter and bloopers.

Maths is really killing me now. There’s going to be a test on Monday and I’m totally unprepared for it. For one thing, my interest in that subject seems to have dwindled as the weeks go by. Why? Well, I shall not say it here to avoid any possible misunderstandings. I spent Sunday afternoon looking through my notes and doing the tutorials from start to end but I got stuck so many times in between that I’m at the verge of giving up on it.
