A Shortie's Work

In a little room, a short brunette could be seen sitting at her study table, doing what seems to homework, revision and some random doodling to keep herself occupied and awake. Time passed by painfully slow at the moment and she wished for it to pass slower, for she did not wish to face the coming first day of the week.

Having being buried under a pile of papers and stationery, she got up to stretch, doing all sorts of tai chi poses as she flexed her stiff shoulders and muscles. Her eyes were getting droopy and she could feel them closing by themselves. Oh how she wished she had coffee with her at the moment. But unfortunately, she doesn’t.

After pacing around the room for a while, she took her place at the table once again to resume her work, only to be distracted yet again by the beeping sound of her phone. A message had been sent by her friend, inviting her to a Christmas barbeque. She could only imagine herself going as she knew she had no chance of attending the gathering with her friends.

With a heavy heart, she rejected the invite and went back to her business.

Why do I have to do this when everybody else is out there having fun during Christmas?!

She could not help but curse her poorly arranged schedule inwardly.

Never mind, it’s only one week. You can get through this. You know you can! All you need is a pass and you’re done with this!

She felt slightly more pumped up to work after that little pep talk. However, there was one thing standing in between her and getting her work done.

Sleep.

You know what, forget about this. I need to sleep! I’ll continue tomorrow.

Lights went out, and so did she. Off to dreamland.

More Than Words

I think it’s possible to sense a person’s mood through the words he/she typed. Just by reading a few simple lines is enough to tell you what the person is feeling at that moment of time when the words were penned. I myself can remember the exact emotion that I was feeling when I wrote my previous posts. Even if it were after a very long time, re-reading the lines carefully allows me to.

Which is why when I communicate with others using words, as in a typed conversation, I tend to be careful of what I’m saying and what mood am I setting it in. I don’t want the recipient to get the wrong message and is offended by a harmless message.

There are also times where I have to be rational and control myself from exploding through messages. Let’s say a person comes and starts a conversation with me (via FB, MSN etc) when I’m busy, I try to subtly tell them I'm not in the mood to talk but some just don’t get the message. And to be honest, I don’t really want to harshly tell you ‘Hey, can’t you see I’m busy right now?’

Instead, what I normally do is just give short, one worded replies and hope that the other party understands that I don’t want to be disturbed and leave me alone. I think short resplies are the best way to tell others that you don’t want/have the time to talk right at that moment. I can sense that my presence is unwanted by the other by reading their replies so I’ll let them be after a while.

Words are interesting, aren’t they? =]

So Who's The One?

Ok, I really could’ve sworn that I left my fruits, a few apples and pears, in a bag, emphasis on A bag, ONE bag. I think I’m not that forgetful and I definitely don’t think my mom would put my fruits into two separate bags for two different kinds of fruits. She’s never done it before so why would she start now?

So now the thing is, I took an apple from that bag last week and today I went to get another fruit, my bag was gone from the place I left it in the fridge, which is the bottom left corner of the machine. It was a good thing that the fridge wasn’t that packed with other bags so I found my apples pretty quickly. Apparently, somebody moved them to the top most shelf (is it called a shelf? I’m not sure) of the fridge. So where were my pears then? I have not taken one yet so they should be there but they weren’t. I thought somebody ate them then I found them at the bottom, in a bag with a few other smaller pears which clearly aren’t mine.

So conclusion? Somebody moved them. It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. To be honest, I have moved other people’s bags of fruits from one place to another in the fridge before but I always move the whole bag, not separate all the fruits by type and bag them. I’m not pointing any fingers here but the suspects aren’t many since I know only a few do open the fridge quite often and one is on holiday so that scopes it down more.

All I’m trying to say here is, I don’t bag their fruits by type, heck I don’t even touch their fruits and what-nots in the fridge. All I did was just moved their bags to another location in the fridge with everything still in it, untouched. So why are they being so itchy-handed as to moved mine and mix my fruits with theirs?

Seriously man, I try not to touch their stuff so they in turn shouldn’t touch mine. I don’t even take the food (like cookies and what-nots) that they offer. Some people just think that they’re being smart when they’re not.

ok, as you can see from the post, I clearly am not happy about it. Don't worry, it'll pass after a while. I do have somebody in mind to suspect for it already.

Simple Yet Difficult To Do

After having major examinations for so many years, I have come up with a few simple steps to help get myself started on studying. (Of course, knowing myself, it’ll never work but this is just for fun ^^ )

1. Off the computer

2. Resist temptations to online using whatever devices i.e. phone, laptop etc

3. Have water bottle and snacks on standby

4. Go to the bathroom before starting

5. Get all reading materials ready

6. Find a comfy chair

7. Change into comfortable clothes

8. Set a time to stop for breaks

9. Start studying

Simple, no?

Forget it!

You know what, forget about the whole ‘I’m going on hiatus again’ thing because let me tell you something, I am too much of a procrastinator to ever go on hiatus from my blog. Yea, it was kinda relaxing going on hiatus but then again, I have to resist from posting anything that happens in my daily life and that is so not fun!

Today, I visited a page that I haven’t been visiting in the past few months. The owner simply left without a word and to be honest, I felt a bit sad that she didn’t inform her followers about it. But then, I took a moment to think and I came up with a conclusion. There was no need for her to tell, especially to me since I don’t think that I am somebody significant in her life, and it was totally none of my business as to where has she been in the past few months. It was and still is totally none of my business so I shall not bother about it anymore.

So back to the present, her page is now updated with whatever activities she had been doing for the last couple of weeks (months??) and I’m glad that she is enjoying herself. =]

Who cares anyway. As I have noticed and experience it many times before, the people you meet for a short time will only talk to you for a short time if there is no initiative between you and them to continue contacting each other. I have lost so many new found friends and to be honest, I kinda got used to the whole thing. =]

Black Pearl

Another year has passed since I last celebrated your birthday for the first time last year. Back then, I was still a noob and don’t really know much about you. One year later, I still don’t really know but hey, at least I know more compared to last year. Haha

Today is the Black Pearl’s birthday!!

Happy Birthday!!

Wondering why is she called the Black Pearl? Well, it seems that her skin tone is slightly darker compared to the other 8 and if not mistaken, her dance senior/instructor gave her that nickname (I’m not really sure about this, might be wrong..) she got casted after beating many at a hundred-to-one open dance audition! Can you imagine that?!! She’s known as Kkab Yul among the girls and also Kwon Seobang =]

Happy Birthday, Kwon YuRi !!!!

May all your wishes come true and all the best in your career ^_^
