Magic

Ever get that feeling?

That everything seems hopeless

And you’re on your own?

But when you turn around,

There they are

Waving and calling you.

A smile creeps up your face

Your eyes lit up

And you make your way towards them

They greet you,

Give you a pat on the back

Telling you

‘It’s going to be ok, hang in there’

That few words are like magic

You’ll feel better

At least that’s my case =]

You are not and never alone in this world.

Classical Me

I learnt a lot from watching Disney’s Classics growing up as a kid. For one thing, I learnt that the good guys always win and if you’re a bad guy, you always lose no matter how ingenious your plans are. That’s somehow where I get my basics for my own set of life principles.

The Classics is where I grew up, literally. I was a kid who grew up believing that one day, I will find my prince charming and have my own happily ever after. When I was young, I believed in fairy tales, that there really was a place called Neverland and apples were poisoned by evil witches. I believed in mermaids and all fishes were called Flounder. I wished to have my own genie, to grant my wishes and to turn me into a tough and smart kid like Mulan who went to war.

Movies usually come with their own OSTs, and when I was younger, I didn’t know what their titles were or who sang them. I only had two cassettes, a compilation of all the soundtracks from the Classics. Yet, those cassettes weren’t complete. There were many other songs that I loved that weren’t in them. Songs I yearned to listen to were only assessable through the melodies stored in my memory.

I lost count the number of times I’ve repeated them when I was young. I could memorise what the characters were going to say and do. I could recite the lines like nobody’s business when I was a kid, and mind you I can still do it now. I watched The Little Mermaid and The Lion King these past few days and the dialogues are still fresh in my mind.

That was how I grew up. How about you guys? ^_^ It’s fun to reminisce once in a while. Brings back many sweet memories.

My Best Friend

[This song is so cute ^^ and the lyrics are really meaingfull, at least in my opinion. Hope you guys like it.] ^.^V
***
Although we had a small argument yesterday
Let's laugh, hug, and embrace each other today.
Alright, let’s make a promise
You are my best friend

Even if your worry may seem trivial
Don’t keep it to yourself
Share it with me. Promise me one more time.

Whenever you laugh, I’m happy too
Whenever you’re sad, my eyes tear up too.

There's no one else in the world like you, my friend
You're my joy and my soul
I'll continue to treasure this preciousness
I swear to the heavens forever
I love you my friend

I’ll always be
by your side
I'll be your strength
I'll always be
your best friend forever

If we find a good movie, a good song, or a good guy, make sure to tell the other
Let’s promise each other
(No no no no)

Let’s not think of it as a waste and
Buy each other delicious meals
Let's pinky-promise

When you’re not here, I really feel lonely
When you’re sick, I can’t fall asleep and I worry about you

There's no one else in the world like you, my friend
You’re my joy and my soul
I'll continue to treasure the preciousness
I swear to the heavens forever
I love you my friend
You’re the gift in my life, my friend
You’re my jewel and my miracle
I’ll continue to appreciate you
I swear to the heavens once again
I love you my friend

I won't be afraid of anything as long as we hold hands and have faith
The word friendship may sound awkward, but I think that word was created for us.
My friend

There's no one else in the world like you, my friend
You’re my joy and my soul
I'll continue to treasure this preciousness
I swear to the heavens forever
I love you my friend
You’re the gift in my life, my friend
You’re my jewel and my miracle
I’ll continue to appreciate you
I swear to the heavens once again
I love you my friend
(My best friend)

We make pretty nicknames for each other and play around (And play around)
Sometimes, we'll share our nice outfits (You are my best friend)
Put my number as your first speed dial contact
We'll be best friends forever
Forever you’re my friend
You’re my only one, my friend
Forever you’re my friend
You’re my only one, my friend

Hey, aren’t you my friend?
I love you!
Maerong (teasing)
Unnie
Good night

Troublesome

Assignments come after midterms; it has been like that since the beginning of Foundation. Assignments come in around the 3rd week of the semester and we usually need to hand it in by the 10th week or so. The thing is, the gap between the start and the end of the assignments is too big and students like me tend to procrastinate and push everything aside until the very last minute.

Usually, what I’ve done in the past two semesters is, I push all the assignments aside and concentrate on midterms first. Then, when midterms are over; I shift my attention back to my poor assignments that have been sitting in a corner for a few weeks.

The problem is, there are 4 assignments per semester and trying to finish all of them in less than one month is, doable, but also very stressful. Imagine having to rush not only yourself but your team mates as well to meet the dateline. Oh dear, am I in for trouble or what?!

“As expected, you’re trouble, trouble, trouble.”

Movie Night

Last night, after having a group discussion for our English assignment; I was feeling bored so I asked two of my good buddies out for a walk around our housing area. However, one of them wanted to eat so we accompanied her out for a really late dinner. We chatted, talked and laughed the hour away and I was so happy that I called them out instead of being in my room facing four walls and a screen.

After her dinner, we were headed back when she got a call from our classmates asking her if she wanted to join them for a horror movie night. You have no idea how happy she was when she heard that it was horror movies that they were going to watch.

‘wanna watch?’

Me and another friend was dumbfounded hearing about horror movie. You see, the both of us aren’t really horror movie fans. I personally do not have good experiences watching horror shows and when I get to bed or am alone. Once when I was 10, I watched a show called Dark Water on a bus ride back from KL and I had nightmares for a really long period of time. I got so paranoid that I didn’t even dared to bathe too late when the sky was already dark.

Anyways, back to our movie night. We started with a thriller and man; it was one of the most senseless movies I have ever seen. I mean, usually thrillers have a plot as in why is that person killing others off like a mad man. But that movie, I could see no point of that mad man wanting to kill off the couple. I was trying to figure it out but I gave up when the movie ended with a cliff.

Then, we had a break for a while and we continued with a horror movie. Of all the shows, they chose The Sixth Sense. I haven’t watched that show before but I know that it’s really scary. Reluctantly, I sat through the whole show. But, that show is really nice though I was quite freaked out by it at the end. (that kid is so cute!!)

I slept at 3am last night but it was worth it despite the fact that I was freaked out and paranoid until this morning.

Let’s do it again sometime. ^_^

If I Were An SNSD (part2)

Well, seeing how my friend posted this in her blog, might as well do the same (since I’m bored and got nothing to do. Haha) *coughRachelcough*

Zhiying got Kim Taeyeon

“You are caring towards you friends. You dont really like going outside unless you go to a fun exciting place. You can be a dork and a perv sometimes just like ByunTaeng here. You always think about you members like Taeyeon before anyone else.”

Well, there are some similarities I guess?
1. ‘You are caring towards you friends’ yes, I am caring towards my friends. I am willing to do anything in my power to help you, provided you don’t make me sakit hati. Haha
2. ‘You don’t really like going outside unless you go to a fun exciting place’ partly true, once I’m settled and comfy, I don’t really want to move from my spot on the couch or bed. It takes more than food to get me off and exciting places promising fun is definitely something that can get me up easily. ^^
3. ‘You can be a dork and a perv sometimes just like ByunTaeng here’ I am a dork, aren’t I? kekeke but I am definitely not a ByunTae (it means pervert). LOL
4. ‘You always think about you members like Taeyeon before anyone else.’ True as well, during gatherings, I usually do think about others first before myself (esp a certain somebody who tends to get lost easily..lol *coughyouknowwhoi’mtalkingaboutcough* haha

Kim Taeyeon is the leader for those who are wondering who she is in the group ^^ and she so happens to be my favourite member out of the 9 girls, second being the Ice Princess and third being the Mushroom (L.O.L.).
One thing I like about her is her laugh, she has no regards of her image when she does!

(her facial expression is win! haha)

p.s: so what do you think, ah rae? LOL

YAY!! (^.^) V

I’m really happy now because my midterms are finally over! Well, there is still Maths in a few weeks but we’ll get to that later.

It’s the same thing every semester. It starts; we play for the first few weeks and then really start our engines when midterms come. Every start of the semester I would tell myself ‘alright girl, this sem you’re going to be on your best study behavior! No more procrastination.’ Sadly, that is never accomplished. I am Miss Procrastinator after all. It is something that I do best with little effort.

Midterms started two weeks ago with Marketing and English and ended this week with Economics and Computing Tech. Some were fairly easy while others were fairly tough. As always, my target for certain subjects are high while for others; half would do. Subjects like English would be my strong point, if I can say so myself, so I am expecting myself to do fairly well. Unless the events of last semester were to repeat itself then I do not know.

I can honestly tell you that Economics absolutely hates me. I dreaded that subject in sem1 and it was the only subject that I got a B in during the finals. I thought I won’t have to see it anymore but boy; was I wrong. I don’t really understand Economics very much but I am trying my best to. Marketing, it takes some common sense, in my opinion, but it also mostly relies on memorizing; something which is so not my forte. Even in school, I don’t memorise my Moral values until SPM came.

Anyways, midterms are over and I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend back home with my friends. Even my housemates are going home this weekend and I am happy for them because they live quite far away and only go home during sem break. So this is like a real treat for them, I’m glad they got to go back in the middle of the semester.

But, first things first! Sleep.
